FAQs

What grips are used for different pitch types?

You can find recommended grips in the RAVIK Pitch Designer App by scanning the QR code on the product packaging. From there, use the “Common Grips” tab to explore standard pitch grips, or use the “My Pitches” tab to input your own pitch data and receive customized grip recommendations.

Who should use the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball?

All baseball players ages 12 and up can benefit from using the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball. Whether you're a pitcher looking to develop a new pitch or a position player trying to clean up your throws, the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball can help improve spin awareness and feel.

Should I throw the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball at maximum effort?

No. We do not recommend throwing the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball at maximum effort. Please refer to the “Training Guides” section of the RAVIK Pitch Designer App for recommended training protocols and usage guidelines.

Is it heavier than a regular baseball?

Yes. The RAVIK Spin Command Baseball is 2 oz heavier than a standard baseball, but that does not make it unsafe to throw when used properly. Always follow the guidelines in the “Training Guides” section of the RAVIK Pitch Designer App to maintain a safe training environment.

Will the RAVIK Spin Command Baseball help with the feel of different pitch types?

Yes. The RAVIK Spin Command Baseball is designed to help athletes better understand and feel the hand movements and release patterns associated with different pitch types.

Why are there two different RAVIK Spin Command Baseballs in each pack?

Both baseballs weigh the same. The difference is how the internal weight is distributed. The “Solid” Spin Command Baseball is oriented around the four-seam portion of the baseball, while the “Striped” version is oriented around the two-seam portion. This helps accommodate athletes’ preferred grips on a standard baseball.
